First 2010 Senior of the Summer

This is my first 2010 Senior session of the summer and I am very happy with the results! We did this session in a around Bemidji and found many nice spots to work with....met some interesting characters during our shoot, but had fun nevertheless!

This young lady played ball against Shelby when they were very young and then they played together on an AAU team for a few years...she is an all around talented athlete and academic scholar as well as a beautiful young lady. I was very happy that they asked me to take her senior pictures....

This was also my first session with my new process....she will enjoy a coffee table proofbook and a CD with a ton of images...most are regular color but there are many that are convereted into black & white, vintage and some that are antique/vintage with texture. I hope she likes them!

Here are just a few to share...

Dave & Claire Engagement Session

This was my first ever engagement session and it was fun to do as they are such a darling couple and were up for anything! I've known Dave and his family for a while and got to know Claire this past volleyball season as she was one of the coaches. She will be the new Head Volleyball coach this year at BHS so congrats are in order! Dave is the assistant boys basketball coach at BHS and was quite the basketball player himself as he is one of the 1,000 point club members on the wall in the gymnasium.

I have many favorites but the ones that jump out at me are the ones in between the two buildings... I love the way those turned out and had fun converting them to get different looks. My "plan" was to get their silhouettes but that didn't work with the lighting...still very happy with the final images on that idea...

The Effie ball field, which is near their home and which Dave plays lots of ball at, were some more favorites and of course the one on the log on the river...AND the ones in the barn! Told you, way too many that I like to pin them all down...

They wanted to try and get a few with their dogs but young Drake would not cooperate...I did however get some cute ones of them trying to get them to calm down for the picture. I think I might like these better than a posed picture anyway!

So here are a few from their session....she will be receiving her DVD with the copyright release tomorrow and can do whatever she likes with my images! I think she has plans on a bridal shower invite and lots more....I can't wait to see what she comes up with as she is very creative! Have fun Claire!!!/

Senior Sessions

This is the information for the Senior Sessions to begin this summer....I HAD to make this change because of copyright infringement issues and many other issues. I hated to do this but had no option.

Included in the fee is the following: Drive time to and from the session including fuel expense, minimum two hour session, proofing time of up to 5 hours, cost of the popular Coffee Table Proofbook and a CD or DVD with a full copyright release from JAG Photography. The proofbook will be delivered within two weeks after your session.

If you like my "style" of photography then this is the best deal for you! This will give parents and seniors a 6-8 month window to order their prints from various entities as their checkbook and time allows them to do so....they can order prints to give as Christmas gifts, order various amounts of wallets at a time, have plenty of time to design their own graduation invitations or open house cards, collages and can even go online and find a site to order a Senior Photobook. Your options will be endless and you will have as much time as you need and I won't need to mark up each image in the book with "PROOF" across them!

I have kept my prices well below other studios and delivered a beautiful proofbook without marking up the images and what I have gotten in return on way too many occasions are clients that scan the proofs and turn their yearbook picture into the yearbook, put images onto Facebook and My Space, create their own invitations (instead of hiring me to do so and which is what I am in business for) and print their pictures....then do NOT order a package but keep the proofbook! Any on many occasions, the orders will come about 6-8 months after the initial session was done....so these are the dilemmas that I have been dealing with and the reasons that I have changed my policies.

You can still get the JAG "look" to your senior photos and then have full freedom to do what you wish with each and every image!

We will see what happens....

Family Sessions

This is the information for family sessions....there will be flat fee of $150. 1/2 due at the time of the session and the other 1/2 due when your CD of high resolution images are delivered.

I will give a full copyright release with the CD and a letter with an idea of places to get your prints developed along with a few ideas...slideshows, collages, photobooks, mugs, large prints, holiday cards and party invitations, etc. The list could go on and my clients will have full reign to be as creative as they dare to be!

We will see what business comes from this new change....

The Tendrup Family

This was a "mini" family session of Desirae and her family. They are the first that will benefit from my new family offer this year! The session took one hour and she was given a CD with about 50 proofs, both in color and b&w, with a full copyright release.

She received her CD yesterday and ran immediately to Walmart in Grand Rapids and had every proof printed off as a 4x6, four 8x10's and ten 5x7's....she was amazed at how easy it was and that the quality of the pictures (clarity & color) were good...she was a very happy camper!

Here are some images from her mini family session....
